Upcoming Classes...
All classes consist of two (2) days unless otherwise previously arranged.
The first day/date will be that of a minimum of two hours of classroom style lecture with question and answers provided. The following day/date we will meet at the range where the curriculum will continue until we phase into the firing portion of the class. Once we begin the hands on section, prepare for a minimum of 200 rounds to be utilized as part of our practical shooting portion. This class may take as much as 11 hours but never less than 8 hours.
This class truly should be called a basic firearms course of instruction. One that will develop any lack of skills and will enhance the skill sets of the intermediate to advanced shooters. This will be done through a basic course of shooting exercises and training. As we have said before we welcome those that have never touched a firearm before as you will have so much fun learning; and we welcome the more advanced shooter as you will enjoy the challenge of refining your skill sets.
There are classes out there that will throw you through a book, offer a test and then run a short firearms drill that in some cases may not even require “live firing”. That is not our program.
If someone asks you to participate in this format or class that does not provide a service to you, the customer, they need to be reported to the Washoe county Sheriffs office. They can be reached at (775) 328-3348 or via email at records@washoesheriff.com (if in this county) or you can report them to the Nevada Sheriffs and Chief Association at: http://www.nvsca.com/.
We at Concealed Defense take this very seriously and you should too.

A concealed weapon permit may be obtained by a Nevada resident who is 21 years of age or older by:
1. Successfully completing a CCW course like this one approved by the Washoe County Sheriff.
2. Completing the forms provided by the Sheriff’s Office (that we will provide upon completion of the course) and submit them with the appropriate fee. A set of fingerprints and photograph will be taken, as well as certain other information, such as your driver’s license number.
3. Upon the successful completion of the background check, a concealed weapon permit will be issued to you for the handguns you have specified in your application.
Once you have completed our course you will have everything in your hands that you need to drive straight to the Sheriffs office and apply. It's that simple...
This class is open to residents of any state. We have a large number of California residents who take the course to obtain a Nevada CCW. Nevada does recognize out of state residents who wish to posess a Nevada concealed firearm. All the information contained in this website applies to those residents unless otherwise stated.
